Bookkeeper
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the financial and administrative duties of House of Mercy
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and collections
. - Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records
. - Generate financial reports using accounting software and assist with budgeting
. - Collaborate with an outside accountant and auditor for the preparation of the 990 form and audits
.
Client Services Coordinator
The Client Services Coordinator is a full-time or part-time position that oversees the client registration process, food pickup, and organization of the food pantry
Key Responsibilities:
- Register and re-register clients and assist them with food, clothing, and other needs
. - Record all assistance provided and manage the client database
. - Organize the food pantry and take in food donations
. - Spanish fluency is required for this position
.
House of Mercy Associate
The House of Mercy Associate is a part-time position (32 hours/week, plus extra hours as needed)
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with House of Mercy’s established standards, policies, and rules of conduct for employees and volunteers
. Maintain regular communication with their supervisor and the immediate manager of each assigned area. Participate in staff meetings as required. Train and work with volunteers in all departments, including welcoming and instructing service groups when needed. Possess excellent communication skills and be well-organized. Be in good physical health, able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods. - Demonstrate outstanding customer service and people skills
. Be trustworthy and honorable, especially when dealing with money- Have a willingness to grow
- Be competent in Microsoft Word and email
