Client Services Coodinator

Work Hours: Part-time, 24 hours/week or seasonal

The Client Services Coordinator will play an important role in contributing to the total effectiveness of the Mission, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas, and working as a positive, engaged team member. Flexibility and a cooperative spirit are crucial characteristics of the individual who holds this position.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist clients with the check-in process
• Supervise clients while waiting
• Distribute client assistance properly
• Manage and oversee potential choice pantry
• Record all assistance and manage database
• Keep client files, accounts, and program flyers up to date
• Oversee and grow Mobile Pantry and its volunteers
• Make Carts
• Help renew/re-enroll old clients
• register new clients
• Help run additional client programming throughout the year and assist in other House of Mercy events
• Maintain regular communication with the Program Manager and fellow coordinators
• Cover for other coordinators when necessary
• Participate in staff meetings as required
• Comply with the HOM established standards, policies, and rules of conduct for all employees and volunteers
• Other duties as assigned

Client Services Coordinator Part Time New Position 2022

Warehouse Associate

Work Hours: Part-time, 24 hours/week or seasonal | Monday-Saturday, 3PM-9PM

The Warehouse Associate will play a vital role in contributing to the total effectiveness of the Mission, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas, and working as a positive, engaged team member. Flexibility and a cooperative spirit are crucial characteristics of the individual who holds this position.

Responsibilities include:

    • Manage warehouse operations and volunteer staff to ensure effective receipt, documentation and routing of donations
    • Price items, manage inventory, quality control and storage
    • Safeguard operations with appropriate safety & security protocols, keeping the warehouse clean and organized
    • Manage, train and oversee donation center volunteers.
    • Ensure that the donation center is opened on time and secured at the end of each day
    • Maintain regular communication with immediate manager.
    • Participate in staff meetings as required.
    • Comply with the HOM established standards, policies, and rules of conduct for all employees and volunteers.
    • Cover thrift store register and other assigned duties
    • Welcome, instruct and oversee service groups

Thrift Store Associate

Work Hours: Part-time, 24 hours/week or seasonal | Monday-Saturday, 3PM-9PM

The Thrift Store Associate will play a vital role in contributing to the total effectiveness of the Mission, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas, and working as a positive, engaged team member. Responsibilities include:

    • Oversee customer service and sales, creating and maintaining a customer-friendly atmosphere
    • Responsible for bringing in new sales, helping with pricing strategies, and gaining customer feedback
    • Cleanliness and organization for Thrift store including maintaining clean working and shopping areas and organized merchandise for customers
    • Merchandising the thrift store in customer-oriented ways, maintaining a boutique atmosphere
    • Opening, closing, and cashing out the registers as needed
    • Training and working with volunteers
    • Other duties as assigned.

Office Administrator

Work Hours: Part-time, 32 hours, Must be able to work during special events (nights & weekends) and extra hours as needed

The Office Administrator will play a vital role in contributing to the total effectiveness of the Mission, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas, and working as a positive, engaged team member. Flexibility and a cooperative spirit are crucial characteristics of the individual who holds this position.

Responsibilities include:

Office Management:

• Answer phones, and inquiries, assist clients/donors/volunteers/customers with basic needs
• Organize staff functions including celebrations, appreciation events, trainings, etc.
• Assist staff and the Executive Director with tasks/projects as needed
• Help manage and organize administrative duties of donor and client events
• Give tours of House of Mercy and be the first contact of those needing our services or contributing to them
• Other duties as assigned

Human Resource:

• Assist with onboarding new staff and keeping files organized
• Managing staff benefits and communication with providers
• Keep policies updated and assist in creating new policies as needed

Finance:

• Organize staff receipts and invoices
• Create and run reports as needed
• Collaborate with the bookkeeper

    Online Sales Coordinator

    Work Hours: Part time, 24 hours/week, must be able to work special events (nights/weekends) as needed

    Responsibilities include:

    • Identify items and work with donation center staff and marketing coordinator to select items for online sales
    • Research and photograph items selected for online sale
    • Manage online retail platforms such as eBay, Poshmark, House of Mercy website, and other potential platforms, posting items, communicating with customers, and managing the site, maintain high customer service ratings on all platforms, increase online visibility and meet sales goals
    • Mail purchased items to customer
    • Keep items organized for online sales
    • Complete reports as necessary
    • Other duties as needed
