House of Mercy Welcomes New Director of Development & Marketing
On Wednesday, August 20, the House of Mercy community gathered to welcome our new Director of Development & Marketing, Janis DeVore. This special gathering marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our development team as we continue to grow and strengthen our mission of feeding, clothing, and serving families in need.
Janis joined House of Mercy in July 2025 and brings with her extensive experience in nonprofit development and marketing. With a career dedicated to advancing mission-driven organizations, Janis has a proven track record of aligning communications and fundraising strategies with core values and goals. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she earned her degree in Communications and Public Relations.
In her role at House of Mercy, Janis will oversee and coordinate the work of the development and marketing team. Her leadership will ensure that the Christ-centered values of our mission remain at the heart of every initiative—whether it’s building relationships with donors, sharing stories of hope, or inviting the community to join us in making a difference.
Her creativity, passion, and dedication to service already shine through, and we are confident she will bring new energy and vision to House of Mercy.
