Cedar Pastries Team Brings Sweet Support to House of Mercy
At House of Mercy, community means everything—and few embody that spirit quite like the incredible team from Cedar Pastries. With over 35 volunteers, the Cedar crew brought a powerful wave of energy, service, and smiles during their recent visit to our campus.
From the moment they arrived, the Cedar team jumped into action, helping with critical volunteer tasks across departments. Whether they were organizing donations, prepping materials, or assisting with daily operations, their presence supercharged our productivity. Our staff couldn’t stop talking about how much we accomplished with their help!
And the sweetness didn’t stop there. Cedar Pastries’ co-founder and CEO Jay Zein personally dropped off an impressive spread of fresh pastries for our staff and volunteers—a thoughtful gesture that quickly became the highlight of the day. The treats were absolutely to die for, and our team is still raving about them!
“The Cedar Pastries team not only works in Manassas, but we live in this area too,” said co-founder and CEO Jay Zein. “This is our community and we are thrilled to partner with an organization like House of Mercy which has such a positive local impact.”
It’s this kind of generosity, leadership, and heart for service that fuels our mission and lifts up the families we serve each day. We are incredibly grateful to the Cedar Pastries team for their time, their treats, and their commitment to making Manassas a stronger, more compassionate place.
