Sophia Crooks joined our House of Mercy team in August 2019 as our Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, became the Program Manager in July 2020 soon thereafter, and then transitioned into her current role as Director of Programs in August 2021. As the Director of Programs, Sophia administers the House of Mercy Food Pantry, all of its client centered programs and assistance, as well as her hardworking Programs team. Sophia's dream is to help the underserved people in our community by providing them with basic necessities, as well as by reminding them of the innate God given dignity they have as children of God. After work and on the weekends, Sophia enjoys strength training, live music, the visual arts, visiting Jesus in the Chapel, and meeting up with friends for events all over the DMV!
