Media Advisory

Starting on February 7th and ending on February 14th, 2022, House of Mercy will begin our annual Red Week Sale. During this week any item that is mostly red (at least 75% of the item) will be reduced to $1. This applies to all items, whether they are normally priced at $2 or $200.

Red Sale - 2022House of Mercy hosts the Red Week Sale each year not only to help our client families and customers get ready for Valentine’s day by providing an opportunity to buy inexpensive decorations but also to raise awareness of where the money from our thrift store sales goes. Every dollar spent goes directly into supporting our food pantry by enabling us to purchase food, keep the lights on in our building and pay our rent. By participating in our Red Week Sale or by purchasing any item in our store throughout the year, you are helping our organization to make a positive impact on our community.

House of Mercy currently serves 40+ local families per day, providing each one with free food and clothing. If you’re interested in a tour of our new space, donating, volunteering or have any other questions please contact Jessica Root or Ryan Walker at 703-659-1636.

We are incredibly grateful for the support from all of the patrons during our Red Week Sale and throughout the year. We hope to see you during our Red Week Sale and wish everyone a happy Valentine’s Day.
