Our mission at House of Mercy is to provide compassionate support and essential resources to individuals and families facing food insecurities.

Our Dedication

We are committed to welcoming all individuals, irrespective of background or circumstance, and offering assistance in times of hardship. Through our food distribution program and educational initiatives, we strive to address immediate needs while also empowering individuals to build a brighter future for themselves. Our goal is to create a community where every person has access to the support and resources they need to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. Together, we work towards a more compassionate and inclusive society, where no one is left behind.

PROGRAM DETAILS

We extend our welcome to anyone seeking assistance, regardless of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, sex, or disability.

BENEFITS

    • Access to food twice a month, every 15 days.
    • Educational classes: We facilitate connections with partner organizations offering classes and assistance with associated costs.

    Where: Our food pantry is located at 8154 Flannery Ct, Manassas, VA 20109.

    We are committed to offering support to meet your immediate needs and to help build a brighter future for you.

    New clients are encouraged to register for an appointment. We are unable to accommodate walk-in appointments.

    Former clients who no longer receive services from House of Mercy are welcome to reapply.

REQUIREMENTS

For your first visit, please schedule an appointment and bring the following documents:

ITEMS NEEDED

1. Photo identification for the account holder and identification with date of birth for every other member on the account, including children.

Acceptable forms include:

  • Valid driver’s license (from any state or country)
  • Valid passport
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • US Military ID
  • Valid state-issued ID
  • Picture ID from any country
  • For non-account holder members, birth certificates and insurance cards with date of birth are also accepted.

Please note: We do not accept Social Security Cards.

 

2. Proof of current address.

Acceptable documents include:

    • Utility bill or lease
    • Registration card
    • USPS Change of Address Confirmation
    • Vehicle registration
    • Other forms of mail

    Please note: If you are renting a room in the same house/address as another client, you will be asked to provide your own personal lease.

ENGLISH

NEW Clients have to schedule an appointment to create an account in order to receive food and clothing. We will no longer register new clients without an appointment.

New Clients will be required to have all their documents with them for their Registration Appointment. If they do not have all the required documents, they will be asked to reschedule the appointment. Please note, this is for New Client Registration only. Once you have an account with us, you are welcome to come every 15 days to receive your food on a walk-in basis.

WHAT YOU MUST BRING:
1. A Photo Identification for the account holder and form of Identification with date of birth for every other member on the account.

Examples: Valid driver’s license (other state and country acceptable), Valid passport, Permanent Resident Card, US Military ID, Valid state issued ID, Picture ID from any Country. For non-account holder members, we also accept Birth Certificates and Insurance Cards with date of birth.

Please note, we do not accept Social Security Cards!

2.  A Proof of Current Address

Los NUEVOS Clientes deberán programar una cita para crear una cuenta para recibir alimentos y ropa. Ya no registraremos clientes sin cita previa.

Los nuevos clientes deberán tener todos sus documentos con ellos para su cita de registro. Si no tienen todos los documentos requeridos, se les pedirá que reprogramen la cita. Tenga en cuenta que esto es solo para el registro de nuevos clientes. Una vez que tenga una cuenta con nosotros, puede venir cada 15 días para recibir su comida sin cita previa.

QUE DEBES LLEVAR:
1. Una identificación con foto para el titular de la cuenta y un formulario de identificación con
fecha de nacimiento para todos los demás miembros de la cuenta.

Ejemplos: licencia de conducir válida (otro estado y país aceptable), pasaporte válido, tarjeta de residente permanente, identificación militar de EE. UU., identificación válida emitida por el estado, identificación con foto de cualquier país. Para los miembros que no son titulares de cuentas, también aceptamos actas de nacimiento y tarjetas de seguro con fecha de nacimiento.

Tenga en cuenta que no aceptamos tarjetas de seguro social.

2. Una prueba de domicilio actual
Uno de los siguientes: factura de servicios públicos, arrendamiento, tarjeta de registro, confirmación de cambio de dirección de USPS, registro de vehículo u otra forma de correo.

Tenga en cuenta que si está alquilando una habitación en la misma casa/dirección que otro cliente, se le pedirá que proporcione su propio contrato de arrendamiento personal.
