Volunteer Spotlight: Chris Bosco – A Pillar of Support at House of Mercy
At the House of Mercy, we’re incredibly fortunate to be supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, and among them, Chris Bosco shines brightly as a true testament to the power of selfless service – delivered with a side of good-natured ribbing! For many years, Chris has been an invaluable asset to our organization, consistently bringing his positive energy, unwavering commitment, and infectious humor to our mission.
Every Wednesday, like clockwork, Chris graces our offices with his presence. He’s not one to just sit quietly; his playful banter and genuine kindness have fostered a wonderful rapport with all our staff members. He’s not just a volunteer; he’s an integral part of the House of Mercy family who keeps us laughing. Chris diligently assists with a variety of crucial tasks, from making essential phone calls to helping promote our numerous events and drives. His meticulous attention to detail and consistent support ensure that our outreach efforts are effective and far-reaching.
A Champion for Food Drives
Beyond his regular weekly contributions, Chris is also the driving force behind one of our most successful and impactful initiatives: the semi-annual food drives organized through his Heritage Hunt Pickleball Club. Twice a year, once in the spring (typically in May) and again for Thanksgiving in November, Chris mobilizes his club to collect an incredible amount of food donations. These drives are consistently among our highest-yielding, providing vital resources that allow us to continue serving our community and ensuring no one goes hungry. His leadership and dedication in orchestrating these events are truly remarkable and demonstrate his deep commitment to making a tangible difference.
An Example to Us All
Chris embodies the spirit of community leadership and support. He is a shining example to everyone around him of what it means to care deeply about others, to be selfless in action, and to approach every task with a smile and an amazing attitude. And yes, he’s incredibly funny too, adding a touch of lightness and joy to our busy days!
We at House of Mercy cherish our relationship with Chris and are profoundly grateful for his continued dedication. His unwavering support allows us to extend our reach and impact countless lives in our community. He is more than just a volunteer; he is a beacon of hope, generosity, and good humor.
