A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Continuous Food Partners!

At House of Mercy, our mission to combat food insecurity would not be possible without the incredible support of our continuous food partners. These businesses and organizations consistently step up, donating a wide variety of vital items that stock our shelves and fill the carts of thousands of families each month. Their dedication is truly the backbone of our operations, and we are immensely grateful for their ongoing commitment.

The Power of Partnership: April 2025 Contributions

In April alone, our partners collectively donated an astounding 24,076 pounds of food, with an estimated market value of over $129,258.38! This incredible volume of donations allows us to provide fresh, nutritious, and diverse options to our community.

Here’s a closer look at the remarkable contributions from our dedicated partners in April:

  • Sprouts: Leading the way with 3,902 pounds of food, valued at over $28,391. Their donations included a significant amount of fresh produce, dairy, and ready-to-eat items.
  • Haymarket Giant (HMG): Provided 3,340 pounds, contributing over $22,773 in value, with substantial donations of produce, ready-to-eat meals, and bread.
  • Walmart: Generously donated 2,476 pounds, valued at over $10,540, including a large quantity of bread and non-perishable goods.
  • Wegmans: Contributed 2,023 pounds, representing over $13,074 in value, with significant donations of produce, bread, and meat.
  • Holy Trinity: A valued community partner, donating 1,614 pounds of food, valued at over $7,037, primarily non-perishable items.
  • Gainesville Giant (GG): Donated 1,019 pounds, valued at over $6,140, including a great mix of produce, ready-to-eat items, and bread.
  • Panera: Supplied 796 pounds of delicious bread, valued at over $3,016.
  • Harris Teeters Gainesville (HTG): Contributed 654 pounds, valued at over $2,760, with a strong focus on bread.
  • BJS: Donated 448 pounds of non-perishable items, valued at over $1,697.
  • St. Lucy’s (SLP): Contributed 346 pounds of non-perishable goods, valued at over $1,508.
  • Sheetz: Provided 227 pounds of ready-to-eat food, valued at over $1,886.
  • KFC: Donated 155 pounds of ready-to-eat food, valued at over $1,288.
  • Great Harvest Bread (GHB): Contributed 146 pounds of bread, valued at over $553.
  • Wawa: Supplied 137 pounds of ready-to-eat food, valued at over $1,138.
  • Nandos: Donated 66 pounds of ready-to-eat meals, valued at over $548.
  • Olive Garden: Provided 22 pounds of ready-to-eat food, valued at over $182.
  • Outback: Contributed 17 pounds of ready-to-eat food, valued at over $141.

We also received substantial contributions from Individual donors (3,640 pounds, valued at over $13,289) and Group Donations (3,048 pounds, valued at over $13,289), demonstrating the collective power of our community.

More Than Just Numbers

These numbers represent countless meals, moments of relief, and the ability for families to focus on other critical needs, knowing they have food on their tables. The variety of items donated—from fresh produce and dairy to bread, meat, and ready-to-eat meals—ensures that our clients receive well-rounded and nutritious support.
