House of Mercy Hosts Transformative Career Workshop for Local Residents
Manassas, VA — House of Mercy is proud to announce its Career Confidence Workshop, a powerful one-day event designed to uplift and empower community members in their journey toward stable employment. Taking place on Friday, June 7th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at House of Mercy (8150 Flannery Ct., Manassas, VA), this event offers job seekers the tools, resources, and support they need to build confidence and step into the next chapter of their careers.
The workshop focuses on three core areas: Career Readiness, Financial Empowerment, and Professional Styling. Attendees will receive one-on-one assistance with resume building, job applications, mock interviews, and elevator pitch coaching. Local recruiters will also be on-site, offering immediate application opportunities.
Participants will explore educational resources, budgeting tips, and career training pathways, with guidance from trusted organizations such as Brightpaths, PWC Cooperative Extension, and more.
One of the most impactful parts of the workshop is the Professional Styling Corner, where participants can assemble complete interview-ready outfits with the help of personal stylists, enjoy mini makeovers, and even receive free professional headshots to level up their LinkedIn profiles or resumes.
Additionally, free on-site childcare will be provided so parents can fully engage in the event worry-free. Children will enjoy age-appropriate activities, crafts, reading stations, and snacks during the event.
This event is ideal for individuals re-entering the workforce, new graduates, career changers, or anyone who needs a boost in confidence and resources to take the next step. Tickets are just $15 per person, which includes access to all activities, childcare, and take-home materials.
